My Practice

 

At GracePoint Counseling, it is my practice to provide an unbiased ear and to set you on a path toward self-acceptance. I believe that GRACE plays an essential role in self-acceptance. Grace gives you the ability to move past your obstacles.

 It means having the ability to understand that imperfection exists in you as well as around you. It provides a way for you to show up authentically as yourself, and to be comfortable with and accept who you are. It is the process of loving yourself, and in return, it gives you the ability to love others and achieve happiness.

My Approach

My theoretical approach to counseling consists of a focus on CBT, Attachment, and Adlerian theories. I also think that mental health requires a holistic approach. A holistic approach includes social, emotional, spiritual, medical, and behavioral factors. This comprehensive approach to wellness can lead to more positive outcomes in treatment. I believe that the counseling approach should fit not only the counselor but also the needs of the client.
